Over £5000 raised at the Travel Weekly Agent Achievement Awards

The new-look Agent Achievement Awards took place at London’s Lancaster Hotel on April 15, 2013.

The event, which was acquired by Travel Weekly last year, was hosted by Travel Weekly editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley and Travel 2 managing director Andy Freeth.

Agents from across the country came together for the prestigious awards ceremony. ABTA LifeLine was the chosen charity partner.

During the awards, guests were shown an ABTA LifeLine video of travel agents that the charity has helped and were encouraged to enter into ABTA LifeLine's fabulous charity prize draw.

The most innovative fundraising activity of the night came from Alistair Rowland who raised a fantastic £150 with his 'individual' gangnam dance.

With Travel Weekly match funding whatever was made on the night, over £5000 was raised for ABTA LifeLine.

ABTA LifeLine would like to thank all the guests that donated that evening, the companies that so kindly donated prizes, and Travel Weekly for not only inviting ABTA LifeLine to be their charity partner but for also generously match funding the donations raised.
