Be part of the greatest race of all and the first ever 100,000 person marathon!
100,000 runners will be taking part physical and virtually in the Virgin Money London Marathon on Sunday 3 October. And ABTA LifeLine is looking for 5 travel colleagues to take part in the virtual event and run for their LifeLine. You can walk, run, skip, wear a daft costume – basically do your run, your way.
You will be able to take part in the world’s greatest marathon on the course of your choice from 00:00:00 to 23:59:59BST, wherever you are on the planet.
Not only would you be taking part in an incredible race, but you will be raising vital funds to support those in the travel industry who are really struggling right now. Those that are in desperate need of financial, practical, and emotional support.
Every £1 raised helps to change the lives of families in our industry. £50 will support a food shop, £100 give expert advice on benefits, debt and housing and £300 will provide vital mental health support. But our support does not stop there. We tailor our support to the individual or family giving them the duty of care they deserve. From medical equipment to unexpected funeral costs, a washing machine to an energy bill, we provide the LifeLine our colleagues need.
Worried about fundraising? Don’t! The possibilities are endless and we will help you every step of the way. We would just ask that you commit to raising a minimum of £500.

Even though the event is virtual, you will not miss out! There will be a virtual Virgin Money London Marathon App which will allow you to log your 26.2 miles and you will still earn your medal and T-Shirt. Not only will you be able to track and log your run, the app will help to bring the virtual experience to life, with exclusive audio commentary. And we will send you a LifeLine running vest!!
