G Trek for Good is back for 2025! Bringing together senior leaders from the travel industry, raising money for both Planeterra and ABTA LifeLine.

We'll be tackling the 10,000 foot-high Choquequirao. Translating to "cradle of gold" this remote Incan city offers a blend of challenge and reward, making it perfect for G Trek for Good. Lace up those boots and get ready for an unforgettable journey through lush jungles, ancient ruins, and jaw-dropping views of the Andes, all while supporting an amazing cause.

Arrival Day (Cusco): Sun 15th June

Departure Day (Cusco): Sat 21st June OR opt to visit Machu Picchu, and depart on Sun 22nd June


We'll be covering 27.9 miles (45km) through high-altitude passes, and jungle lowlands. Hiking days are between 4-9 hours a day, and the highest altitude reached is 3,150m (10,397 ft). June will be dry season, but you still need to be prepared for a surprise shower! Temperatures will be around 16-25ºc during the day, but can drop to 0ºc at night.

Hike Day 1: 7hrs (18km)
Hike Day 2: 8hrs (14km) - Reach Choquequirao! This day is 8 hours of walking.
Hike Day 3: 7hrs (6 km)
Hike Day 4: 3hrs (7 km)

This trip has a Physical Grading: 5 - Challenging - on our grading scale, so a high level of fitness is required. You will be required to carry your own daypack on the trek.

OPTIONAL EXTRA - Machu Picchu

Opt to extend your stay, and visit Machu Picchu. You will depart from Cusco on Sat 21st June, at 6am, with a private transfer to Ollantaytambo. From there, you’ll take a bus and train to reach Machu Picchu. Please note that lunch is not included, but your overnight stay at the hotel is covered. You are free to depart on Sun 22nd June at any time.

Trek to Choquequirao: £320 

Trek to Choquequirao + Machu Picchu extension: £520

Funds Raised for Planeterra and ABTA LifeLine

Each trekker will be required to fundraise a minimum of £1,000 with all proceeds donated directly to Planeterra and ABTA LifeLine. This will be in addition to the attendance cost of £320/£520.
