Thames Path Challenge

The new ABTA Chair and our very own Trustees John are taking on the 100km in 24hrs.

100km in 24hrs!

On the 7th of September John de Vial and Alistair Rowland will be taking on the Thames Path Challenge for ABTA LifeLine! A grueling 100km that can be ran, walked or jogged all following England’s greatest river, the Thames.

Over 2,000 eager participants will be getting on board to raise money for their chosen charities. With a starting point of Putney Bridge, the challengers will head up stream past Hampton Court. The walk will take them alongside a multitude of historic bridges and sites that London has to offer until they reach the midway point, another historic point; Runnymede home of Magna Carta fame. From here they will continue next to so many more wonderful picturesque river side scenes until they complete the remaining journey of 50km. At the end of their journey, there will be a riverside celebration at Henley, where a huge congratulations is truly in order for everyone that took part.
